Travel bird | Toledo - Spain

3 June 2017

Hey boos!

Hope yall doing great!

Next stop in my Travel Bird series: Toledo, one of Spain’s most beautiful and oldest cities. In my previous post, I told you I spent a week in Spain recently and during my stay, I went to visit cities that were also closed to Madrid.

It only takes 2 hours to get to Toledo by train (approximatively 30€ for the train tickets). Half a day is more than enough to see the most interesting places of the historical town.

I was completely mesmerized by Toledo and its beauty. The city has so many cultural and historical places that if you love learning about history you would be overjoyed.

I loved the quite charm of the city despite the numerous number of tourists I saw there and some of them were seriously slaying the summer fashion game.

If you could visit only one thing there, you definitely have to check out the Santa Maria Cathedral of Toledo. This UNESCO World Heritage monument is a wonder to the spirit and the eyes (you can have a taste of its beauty below where I put some pics of its interior).

However, if you have more time to stay a whole afternoon like my friend and I did, you can allow yourself to be adventurous and go get lost among the narrow streets of Toledo old town. You will definitely be pleasantly surprised by the diversity of Toledo’s historical, culinary and artistic heritage.
Stay inspired.
